Perhaps money does grow on trees…at least sometimes. Part installation, part social experiment, writer and artist Amy Krouse Rosenthal covered a tree in Chicago with one hundred single dollar bills adorned with unique phrases. Watch people’s reaction to The Money Tree.
“Don’t ask, just enjoy,” and “Here’s to life!” and “Some things just can’t be explained” are a couple of the hundred different phrases scrawled on each dollar bill with removable labels and then hung from a Chicago tree this July.
The filmmaker states she envisioned the tree being swarmed by people grabbing at the money, but the results were a bit different.
